Two questions:
I got several emails telling me there was an item in my shopping cart - but on the site nothing's in my cart. There is no way TO add anything to your cart - only a "buy it now" process for each item separately. That's a pain in the backside, plus I hesitate to buy anything now that mystery items are already in my cart. FIX THE PURCHASING PROCESS.
What the heck are the $50 "vouchers"???? I aborted a purchasing process when none of the numbers or QR codes (all identical) could be used for payments or as discount coupons. What good are they? Right now they just seem like ?Monopoly Money".
But - wasn't the tamper part of the original purchase? It's a vital item for making espresso and surprising backers with "oh, you didn't sponsor a *complete* unit - just a basic machine." Tampers are included in virtually every other espresso machine purchase, so I don't feel I should be paying fo the thing at all. PLUS it's a weird size sold by NOBODY else - so you have us locked in to buying your (IMOP overpriced) tamper! Please explain.
The "not so generous" vouchers (aka The great CJ scam continues). Wanted to put this towards some accessories (particularly a tamper - which should have been included!). But not allowed apparently. These guys sure know how to lose a fan-base. Theres no way Id recommend their company or product to anyone. And their website shopping is hopeless - its one purchase at a time with no ability to add extra products to your cart (basic stuff youd think - bloody hopeless!)
Expiration date really doesn't matter - I'd only send them to people I really dislike.
Maybe they were ment lto be something you can give as a present to someone, some form of recomendation discount to generate more orders. It does not make too much sense to get 3 more CJs if you allready have one :)
The expiration sux hard though ... it should be more like one year not one month
Hi there I think I can give you my 2 cents on a few things:
The vouchers seems to be only applicable when buying the main machine or the package deals. I know… who needs another machine when you already have one. I would love to used it on buying one of the accessories so we can address like the tamper issue you mentioned.
On another thread, someone has recommended a tamper from Recap. 45mm dia one. I went ahead and bought one as it was quite reasonable in price. It does the job but it’s a tad small so it leaves a bit of coffee grind on the rim. The plastic funnel that came with it however, is perfect and works well. Someone measured the portafiler with a digital calliper and it turns out it’s 46mm in dia. Flair Pro2 has 46mm portafilter and there are a few tamper on Amazon you can buy that are 45.5mm which I think would works perfectly for Coffeejack. Not cheap though!
